Project Title: Consumer’s Satisfaction Survey with regard to quality of supply and distribution of electricity

Aim of the study was to find out people’s opinion regards with the distribution of electricity in the sampled districts. The study gathered information on consumer satisfaction over the billing process i.e. spot billing at the doorstep in urban areas and camps in rural areas. Awareness and perception on the consumer of the quality of the existing grievance Redressal Mechanism- Bill dispute redressal at camps & telephonic customer care was also assessed.
Study covered 4 districts of Bihar i.e. Kishanganj, Madhepura, Munger, and Sheikhpura. Study adopted quantitative research with a sample size of 4600 household interviews and 1000 Computer assisted telephonic interview and commissioned by Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited.
Project Title: Study of Usage of Cooking Fuels by Migrant Population and Food Vendors
Year: 2015 – 2016
Location: Delhi, Guwahati, Patna, Pune and Surat
Aim of the study was to analyze perception of migrant population towards authorized 5 litre LPG cylinder launched by government under FTL (Free Trade LPG) scheme. The study covered students, food vendors, labourers etc.
Quantitative methodology was adopted and sample size covered was 5250 respondents. Findings of the study helped to understand the awareness and their willingness to purchase a small 2 Kg or 5 Kg cylinder. The study was commissioned by Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP.
Project Title: Study to Analyze Potential Customer’s Perception on Usage of PNG

Aim of the study was to analyze LPG users’ perception on use of PNG in the area where PNG infrastructure of AGL (Aavantika Gas Limited) is operational in Indore. Current knowledge, awareness and attitude towards PNG were also identified. RDI use quantitative approach and sample size covered was 2500 households that are using LPG in PNG area.
The findings of the study helped to understand the awareness and opinion of people about PNG and their satisfaction/ dissatisfaction with current LPG connection. Study was commissioned by Aavantika Gas Limited, Indore.
Project Title: Market Survey for Commercial A Segment for MGL (Mahanagar Gas Limited)

Aim of the study was to find out the estimation of market potential, feasibility and identification of customers in the small commercial segment in PNG (Piped Natural Gas). The study was conducted in areas where pipelines of PNG are existing but the customer base of MGL is low. Target market selected were Hotels (lodging & boarding), Restaurants, Sweet shops, Tea stalls,
Bakeries, Canteens, Hospitals & nursing homes, Schools & colleges, Temples, Metal/scrap cutting workshops and any other small customers using LPG. Study involved quantitative research methodology and covered 1600 customers. The study findings figured out the major bottlenecks in converting to PNG with some prominent factors which are capable of influencing the decision of respondents. The study was commissioned by Mahanagar Gas Limited, Mumbai.

Project Title: Study to find out the Reasons for not using PNG among the Households where PNG Pipeline is available

The main objective of the study was to analyze people’s (LPG users) perception about PNG. RDI also identified reasons behind why they are not using PNG in the area where PNG pipeline is laid down.
Study was conducted in Delhi, Gaziabad and Noida. Study adopted quantitative approach and covered 2000 households in the selected areas. The study was commissioned by Indraprastha gas limited (IGL).
Project Title: Profiling of customers and Census of Vehicles Running on CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) in Delhi NCR

In order to determine the Demand forecast, market estimation and identify customer satisfaction, RDI conducted a study in Delhi NCR. A detailed profile of customers visiting IGL (Indraprastha Gas Limited) CNG pump outlets was prepared detailing their CNG usage, car registration No. etc. Study involved quantitative research methodology and sample size covered was 1, 00, 000 customers. The study was commissioned by Indraprastha Gas Limited, Delhi.
Project Title: Feeder Renovation Programme in Rajasthan
Year: 2007-08
Location: Rajasthan
The objective of the assignment was to evaluate and assess the works undertaken in the feeder renovation programme in all the districts of Rajasthan. Information on domestic and agriculture power supply was identified. Transmission & Distribution losses were calculated.
Infrastructure at feeders and opinion of consumers were also identified. Study adopted quantitative research tools and covered 6005 feeders & 90,000 consumers. The study was commissioned by Centre for Good Governance, Govt. of Rajasthan.
Project Title: Census of Private Vehicles Running on CNG

The objective of the study was to conduct a census private vehicles running on CNG in NCT Delhi and to collect opinion of consumers.

Project Title: Consumer Satisfaction Studies in the Power Sector

Location: Rajasthan
Aim of the study was to assess the status of power, connectivity, frequency, duration of supply.
Another main objective was to assess the timing and supply cycle of power supply, quality of power and issue of billing against consumption.
The study was quantitative in nature and covered 5000 consumers in Kota & Jhalawar district. Study helped the client in improvement of electricity supply and curbs the misuse of electricity. The study was commissioned by Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB).
Project Title: Socio-Economic Study to Prepare Rehabilitation Plan in Power Grid Project Site
Year: 1999
Location: Rajasthan
The main objective of the survey was to find out the implications on the affected people whose land was supposed to be acquired by the Power grid Corporation in the Bhiwadi. The study assessed the land area owned by the villagers and the proportion of income from land to total income.
Study adopted quantitative approach and covered 500 households. The study was commissioned by Power Grid Corporation of India, Rajasthan.
