Mita Priyadarshini

Mita Priyadarshini is the Chief Executive Officer at Research & Development Initiative (RDI), a multi-disciplinary research organization. In her career spanning two decades, Mita has worked extensively with the Government of India and with leading International multilateral Organizations on research assignments & consultancy pertaining to Gender Issues, Maternal & Child Health, Energy, Education, E-Governance, Rural Development and affiliated development sectors subjects.
With a strong insight in social issues, she has helped organize global conventions by conceptualizing & designing themes with overall direction and coordination. She is a regular speaker at various forums on social engineering.
Mita has keen interest in working for the marginalized section of society. She has worked extensively at the grass root level with a particular interest in advocating for gender issues. Her involvement in public health, energy, rural development has led to an understanding of the need for affordable and sustainable solutions in rural India where the challenge is to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth.
In her various roles and assignments, she has been instrumental in designing & implementing social programs on creating awareness and making social impacts. With core competencies in
project conceptualization and research designing, she is deeply involved with corporates to create and execute their social support agendas. On behalf of donors, she has worked on strategy formulation and progress monitoring and evaluation (M&E) to ensure their compliance with the norms of the donor and grant agreements.
Besides these, Mita is also a key consultant in energy sector to Government of India (GoI) and leading PSUs with regards to clean cooking fuel.
Mita holds Masters and M. Phil in Social Science from Jawaharlal Nehru University.
