Dr. Jain has been actively involved in transforming technologies to industries. His innovative research in energy sector has helped a lot in developing new technologies. His research of electro-luminescence in porous silicon was considered as the first International observation and it was reported as NEWS by Photonics spectra USA, Electronics Asia. He has also developed the technology for space quality silicon solar cells. Holding a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from IIT Delhi, Dr. Jain has worked as Director Grade Scientist in Solid State Physics Laboratory from 1972 to 2003. He was head of the silicon devices and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) division and developed many new technologies.
