E-Governance

E-Governance has become an essential part of any firm in globalization process. Increasing demands of clearness in administration, rapid information transfer, more competent performance and improved public service has pushed organizations to choose electronic means for success in business. Organizations can give better performance through innovative use of information technology and e- governance. There are many advantages of e-governance and impact public management through, for example, improved access to services, decreased operational costs, enhanced knowledge management, and strengthened coordination of government agencies.

Project Title: Data Collection and Data Entry for e-tracking of “PMEGP PROPOSALS” in Bihar, Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC)

Year: 2013-2014
Sample size: 20,000 beneficiaries
Location: Bihar
KVIC being a nodal agency for Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) to give microfinance to young entrepreneur commissioned a study for e- tracking of the beneficiaries with an aim of Collection of data from DIC, KVIC, PMEGP and relevant sources for
small scale industries in Bihar. The study was commissioned by Ministry of   Micro, Small & Medium enterprise, GOI.

Project Title: Impact of ICT Applications in Panchayat to create a Baseline for e- Services

Year: 2013
Sample size: 6413 citizens, 1086 PRI (Elected Representatives), 794 end users and 95 senior government officials
Location: Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, UP, MP, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Daman & Diu and Dadar Nagar Haveli

The study focuses on assessing and determining RES (Panchayat Enterprise Suite) efficiency along with the State Specific application & to assess the impact on PRIs (Panchayati Raj Institutions). Baseline of e- services at Panchayat level was created. Study adopted both qualitative & quantitative research tools. The study was commissioned by Department of Electronics & Information Technology.

Project Title: Baseline Study on ‘PDS Online’

Year: 2013
Sample size: 4224 users, 440 FPS owners and 41 Godown incharge, 176 block level officials, 43 district level officials, 22 state level officials and 2 central levels
Location: Haryana, Delhi, UP, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman Nicobar
This study was conducted to analysis and understand the challenges in the current implementation process and service delivery. Here we also consider making it comparative study of the states/UTs on the basis of level of computerization and process automation. Study adopted both qualitative & quantitative research tools. The study was commissioned by Department of Electronics & Information Technology.

Project Title: Summary Assessment of E – Governance Projects in Rajasthan

The study focuses on major objective was to conduct a Detailed Client Assessment of E –Governance projects in Rajasthan on Land Record (ApnaKhata), Transport and Registration (SARATHI). Study adopted both quantitative and qualitative research tools. The study was commissioned by Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of India. Center for E-Governance, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmadabad, developed the Framework and Methodology for the study.

Project Title: Impact Assessment of Project: Economic Development through E Governance in India

Sample size: 30 E-Governance projects, 154 IT SMEs and 270 User SMEs
Location:         Across India
The study focuses on assessing an impact of GTZ’s programme for economic development through e-Governance in India. Study included 3 components. Component I covered the Project Coordinators of 30 E-Governance projects. Component II covered 154 IT SMEs, 3 STQC (standardization empanelled intermediaries) and 3 Business Associations. Component III covered 270 User SMEs (small and medium enterprise). Study adopted both qualitative and
quantitative research tools. The study was commissioned by GTZ.
